The challenge

Complex sites, running without real-time visibility

Construction projects are under increasing pressure to deliver faster, safer, and more sustainably while managing rising costs, labour shortages, compliance obligations, and complex stakeholder expectations. Yet many sites still rely on disconnected systems, manual inspections, paper-based reporting, and reactive maintenance.

This lack of real-time visibility creates operational blind spots across worker safety, equipment utilisation, environmental compliance, temporary utilities, logistics, and project forecasting. The result is avoidable downtime, resource inefficiencies, project delays, safety risks, and higher operating costs.

Traditional wired monitoring systems are often too expensive, inflexible, or impractical for large, temporary, or constantly changing construction environments such as rail corridors, tunnels, towers, and infrastructure precincts.

Avoidable downtime and project delays.

Safety risks across the site.

Higher operating costs.

What is Smart Construction

Connected sites, across the whole project lifecycle

Smart Construction combines IoT sensors, AI, digital twins, cloud platforms, and real-time analytics to create connected construction environments that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational performance across the entire project lifecycle.

Using technologies such as LoRaWAN, construction companies can deploy low-power wireless sensors across large and complex sites without extensive cabling or infrastructure. These sensors capture real-time operational data from workers, equipment, structures, utilities, environmental systems, and temporary assets.

The data can then be integrated into cloud hosted dashboards, Building Information Management (BIM) platforms, GIS, Asset Management, and Building Management Systems (BMS) platforms, AI analytics engines, and digital twin environments to support smarter construction delivery and long-term operational handover.

Delivery

Project delivery

Productivity, logistics and forecasting your program can act on.

We help construction companies gain real-time operational visibility across assets, equipment, workforce safety, environmental compliance, utilities, and project delivery, improving productivity, reducing risk, and enabling smarter decision-making from construction through to operational handover. Our solutions are designed specifically for large, complex, and temporary construction environments where traditional wired systems are difficult, expensive, or impractical to deploy.

How it works

From a sensor on the site to a decision on the dashboard

We make it easy to capture and operationalise real-time data from critical assets using scalable, cost-effective IoT systems.

1

Deploy low-power sensors across the site

Battery-powered IoT sensors are installed across key operational areas including equipment, structures, utilities, worker safety systems, environmental monitoring points, and logistics zones.

2

Connect using LoRaWAN®

Sensors communicate using long-range, low-power LoRaWAN connectivity, enabling reliable coverage across towers, tunnels, rail corridors, compounds, and major infrastructure sites without extensive cabling.

3

Capture real-time operational data

Live data is collected continuously from connected assets and systems including equipment location and utilisation, environmental conditions, concrete curing and structural movement, temporary utilities consumption, worker presence and safety alerts, and vehicle movements and logistics flows.

4

Integrate into existing platforms

Operational data integrates into Power BI, AWS, AVEVA PI, Asset Management systems, BIM environments, CAFM and CMMS systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and AI analytics and digital twin platforms.

5

Deliver actionable insights

Construction teams gain real-time visibility, predictive maintenance insights, compliance reporting, productivity analytics, and improved forecasting to support safer and more efficient project delivery.

6

Transition to operational smart assets

Instead of removing temporary monitoring systems at project completion, many sensors can transition into long-term operational use for smart building management, predictive maintenance, energy monitoring, occupancy analytics, and asset optimisation.

The platform

See site conditions the moment they change

Live data is collected continuously and integrated into the dashboards and platforms your teams already run, so a threshold breach is a notification, not a site walk.
